I am thrilled to introduce Sonder Yarn Co's newest base: Fleece & Flax, a beautiful fingering weight blend of 75% Bluefaced Leicester wool and 25% linen. This new blend offers unique properties that I can't wait for you to experience in your knitting and crochet projects.

Linen is a strong and durable fiber with a lovely hand and body. It resists pilling, dries faster than cotton, and has a natural luster marked by irregular fiber bundles and texture. Additionally, linen provides excellent thermo-regulating properties, keeping you cool in hot weather and warm in cool weather. I've always loved working with linen, and blending it with one of my favourite woolly fibers has been a dream come true. Please note that the higher linen content means you may experience some initial shedding during the knitting process however the drape and handle of this yarn after blocking is entirely worth it - it will get softer with every wash and wear!

Fleece & Flax is spun to the same specifications as Sunday Morning 4 Ply, making the two bases interchangeable in your fingering weight projects.

Spun and dyed in England.

Note that on occasion skeins may contain one to two knots. This is part of the spinning and skeining process and is not a defect. Knots can be hidden by undoing them and spit-splicing the ends, or by reattaching with an invisible knot method such as the magic knot or Russian join.
