The ASTERA shawl by Inese Sang shawl draws its initial inspiration from the bold, geometric beauty found in the layered petals of zinnias - members of the Asteraceae flower family. Each layer builds quietly upon the next, creating depth through repetition rather than excess. The gentle curves suggested by the “petals” are balanced by an underlying structure of mitered squares, giving the shawl a sense of calm symmetry and restrained elegance.
This version of the shawl is worked in a single strand our Fleece & Flax yarn - a soft and rustic blend of Bluefaced Leicester and linen.
