Mona Sweater by Lene Holme Samsøe

The Mona Sweater by Lene Holme Samsøe is a playful take on classic floral colourwork, with a bold, graphic motif inspired by the distinctive style of the 1970s. Oversized flowers, delicate stems and trailing botanical details are arranged in an all-over pattern that feels both nostalgic and modern. While the original colour palette has a distinctly vintage feel, the design lends itself to so many different colour stories.

Our MONA kits pair Haven, our light fingering / heavy laceweight blend of Falkland Merino, Bluefaced Leicester and Masham, with Halo, our soft silk and mohair blend. Knitted together, these two yarns create a light, lofty fabric with a soft halo.

All colourwork is worked in the round from the right side.

Mona Sweater is available in 4 combined sizes. Due to the size of the pattern repeat, there is a rather large gap between the sizes. It is designed to have approx. 20-30 cm / 7.75-11.75” of positive ease. Shown with approx. 30 cm / 11.75” of positive ease.
