Stromboli by Caitlin Hunter
- Description
Stromboli is the latest in Caitlin Hunter's Knitaly series - tee patterns inspired and named for places in Italy. Stromboli is an island near Sicily, and the home of an active volcano (Mount Stromboli). This pattern is knit from the bottom up in the round, then separated for the front and back which are worked flat. After joining the shoulders, sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round. Finally, collar stitches are picked up and worked to finish the neckline.
We think Fleece & Flax is a beautiful option for this design and, although we haven't had a chance to knit the sweater yet, you can see our swatch in the second photo (colourway 'Skipping Stones'). The tonal colourways are perfect for showing off the lace design while the linen content lends a lovely, heathered texture.
