Alpine Bloom Hat by Caitlin Hunter

The Alpine Bloom Hat is designed as a companion to Caitlin Hunter's Alpine Bloom tee and Autumn Alpine sweater patterns. This Scandinavian-inspired floral design is a fun and striking knit! The original hat is designed with sport weight yarn, but you can play with fingering and DK as well (taking gauge into account) to make this a great pattern to knit again and again. Pattern is written for both child and adult sizes.

Note that we used our Sunday Morning DK lines for the version pictured here, being careful to achieve the pattern gauge. As a result, our version is woolier (and warmer) than the original. We especially love the juxtaposition of the heathered look of our original DK line with the clearer colours dyed on the DK (Ecru) base.

Pattern modification: I worked 2x2 rib for 4" before beginning main body of hat.
