Turtle Dove by Melissa Clulow
The Turtle Dove was one of Melissa's earliest sweater designs and, judging by the growing number of projects on Ravelry, it has endured the test of time with many knitters. This relaxed, fancy "sweatshirt" of a sweater remains one of our own favourites to make and wear and we recently knit this version with Sunday Morning 4 Ply (Ecru) held with TWO strands of Halo for a dreamy light and cozy version (shown in Home Remedy + Moss).
The entire sweater is knit in the round so there's no seaming to be done when finished. Simply sew in your ends and you're done! The pattern provides two options for finishing the body - a simple rolled hem or a twisted rib split-hem.
Version shown is knit with a ribbed hem without a split. Length was also added to the sleeves before working the ribbed cuffs.
